North Harbour Hockey

North Harbour Hockey
| Mark Matheson

The North Harbour Hockey Association is hosting the Hockey competition in the 2017 World Masters Games. The Association was created when the North Shore competitions split from Auckland in 1983 and is currently the second largest association in New Zealand. With three water-based turfs at the North Harbour facility, it is the largest hockey facility in New Zealand.

The facilities offer a full range of ameneties including:-

  • Canteen
  • Bar and lounge
  • Changing facilities
  • Viewing areas

The facilities are a 15 minute drive on the motorway from central Auckland and offer a large amount of parking. There is a Just Hockey shop within walking distance of the fields.

For driving, the address of the ground is:-

60 Paul Matthews Rd
Rosedale
Albany 0632

A rough guess suggests there are about 450-500 car park spaces, spread across three carparks, although given there are businesses around the grounds, some of them may be taken up by the commercial residents. However I don't forsee any parking issues at the ground.
