In April 2017, the Tassie Old Devils will be travelling across the ditch to defend the title they won in Torino in 2013. I have converted an old hockey website into a general website for the Tassie Old Devils so I can blog before and during the event.

As an Auckland native, albeit one that hasn't lived there for 16 years, I thought I'd put together a few blogs about the city, the venue, hydration stops, tourist activities and anything else I can think of to assist those people that may be planning add-on activities around the event.

This is not a closed website, so if anyone wants to pass on this website to teams and people from overseas, go for it. The more the merrier.

The first article that I have put together focuses on the venue, the North Harbour Hockey Stadium. I will be adding photos to the article in the near future, if it ever stops raining in this damn town :-(

The next one will focus on the accommodation and the surrounding places of interest (in hockey speak, pubs!)

I am happy to take requests from people for things they would like to know about. I have a few planned, including: -

• Puhoi (historical town just north of the ground with a fantastic pub)
