Quality of Veterans Hockey

0 of 5 - 0 votes

What a difference a year makes!

It is quite noticeable that many clubs are now taking Veterans Hockey very seriously.  A number of the A Division Veterans teams encourage their players to also play in a grade team on Saturday, thereby increasing their game time, and hopefully maintaining a richer vein of form.

There also appears to have been an injection of youth into a number of teams.  This suggests that Veterans Hockey in Sydney will continue to grow, with younger, skillful players electing to carry on playing, even after their first grade careers are over.  Perhaps understandably, we are not seeing former international players in our ranks, given the amount of hockey they played during their career.

This can only make for more enjoyable hockey.
